The “Cap” Switch is a microprocessor controlled switch that senses the difference in the densities of air and water. The microprocessor sends out a capacitance signal looking for the density of water. When water reaches the top of the face plate, the pump turns on. As the pump is draining the water it calculates how long it takes to drain that amount of water and sets a run time based on that. As the demand changes, it resets the run time to fit the demand. The pump continuously adapts to the demand of the application that it is in. The switch is offered on our sump and sewage pumps and we give extended warranties on all of our Cap Switch products.
